The Springfield Local School District (SLSD) is in need of substitute bus drivers and substitute teachers.
Students in Mrs. Wilson’s Textile Design and Construction class at Springfield Local High School made dresses to send to girls in Africa. It’s for Little Dresses for Africa, a non-profit.
Springfield Local High School was given a grade of B on the State Report Card from the State Department of Education. Our students were among 10 of 60 high schools in Mahoning, Columbiana and Trumbull county to receive this mark. Only two schools received an A, the remainder a C or below. The scores were based on End of Course Exams (EOC) in Algebra I, Geometry, ELA I & II, American History, and Government as well as other metrics, including performance index, graduation rate, indicators met, gap closing and preparation for success.
Our students have also demonstrated their talents and abilities in a wide array of activities, from our Marching Band, Choir, and Fall Athletes in Volleyball, Cross Country, Soccer, Golf, Cheerleading, and Football and performed admirably.
Our students will once again illustrate their sense of community spirit and generosity as they prepare for our annual Homecoming Parade and the sponsoring of annual American Red Cross Blood Drive.
