what the Springfield High School Library Media Center has to offer!

Find the answers using resources in the library.

1.  How are the fiction books arranged? 

2. What book has the Call number 796.3326 SNO?

3. If you need to find an almanac, what section of the library media center would you look in?

4. If you were in the library media center during a fire drill, where would you go?

5. What is the procedure for putting the laptops away?

Find the answers using the school library media center web page.

6.  From the Home Page, click on Policies.  How many books can you check out and for how long?  What will you be charged for overdue books?

7.  From the Home Page, click on Print Resources.  Click on the Springfield Catalog and select Springfield High School.  Using CAT catalog, conduct an author search for Stephen King.  How many titles does the library have listed?

8.  Click on Current News and Periodic Resources.  Where can you find current news happening in the 50 states?

9.  From the Home Page click on Catalogs and Databases.  If you were doing a report on Franklin D. Roosevelt, what are three databases you might look in?

10.  Under Links for Students what website would you find information on geometry?

11.  Click on Search Tips.  What should you do when searching for a phrase such as "I have a dream".

12.  From the web page, click on Colleges and Careers.  How many websites are listed under Scholarships and Financial Aid?

13.  Under Copyright rules and Plagiarism, how is plagiarism defined?
